sam’s a fucking dork. (exhibit A being the top screencap. exhibit B being the gif.) i have this sort of thing for geeky allusions or references, even if i’ve never heard of or watched/read the subject mentioned. so +50pts to sam. and another +100pts to sam for being great in general. sure, at first, he might have seemed more unfavorable when he was trying to win popularity but later on, he just grows on you. what kept him from looking like a typical jocky douchewad forever would be his moments in ‘duets.’ (2x04) not the moments with quinn, but the moments with kurt. yeah, sam was a little nervous around kurt, but he ultimately agreed to sing with him. screw his sexuality, sam knew that by singing with kurt he might just win those tickets to breadstix. in kurt’s own words, sam was “honorable.” that line sort of stuck to sam’s forehead for me throughout the rest of the season.
